This is a gorgeous early era, authentic Coach Leatherware bag. "It is most likely from the late 1980s when a change of ownership came with changes to both the creeds and the serial numbers. Instead of the “Made in New York City, U.S.A.” stamp, the addition of new plants meant a change in the creed to “Made in the United States”. The serial number also changed during the 1989-1990 period and now was “No.” followed by four numbers, a dash and three more numbers." This information was sourced from a Coach authentication guide called "Coach Serial Numbers - The Basic Facts."
This bag has a long, thin crossbody strap and fold-over flap top closure with brass turnlock. Inside has a large open compartment and slip pocket where the creed and serial number are stamped. This bag is in exceptional condition for its age. Has some scratches on the hardware.
This bag comes with a matching Coach small, flat single pocket zipper bag/wallet in excellent condition.

● HOW TO JUDGE FIT:
Measurements are taken in inches. The best way to determine if a garment will fit is to measure yourself or your clothing and then compare that to the garment's measurements. Don't forget to allow room in the fit for comfort while sitting, etc... The waistband on bottoms is held taut while measuring to provide the most precise measurement possible. If your waist measures 26 inches, it would be a good idea to by jeans that have a 27-inch waist to allow for "breathing room".
Vintage sizing is very different from modern sizing. For example, a vintage 6 may fit like a modern 0. That is why it is especially important to judge the fit based on the measurements.
Clips are rarely used to alter the fit of the item on the model, but if so it will be stated in the description. The goal is to show the item exactly as it is. Please note that colors can vary widely from computer screen to screen.
● CONDITION RATING:
Excellent - no flaws found, like new
Good - one or two minor flaws, normal signs of wear
Fair - shows several signs of previous wear, may need repair
Please keep in mind that vintage clothing by definition is decades old and in most cases pre-worn. Flaws of note will be stated.
